Anyone on here serve in the 1st Cav Avn Bde? I'm curious how you feel about the unit, Ft. Hood, and serving there. How does it compare to other aviation units you've been in?
This was my last unit. I have been out of the army now some 3 years. In my opinion they had the finest people in 4 BDE, but I am biased. Cant talk too much on the day to day. I did not fly. Lots of Legendary Vietnam era folks WO's retiring. We had some fine WO also as well as commissioned pilots. Very professional. Fort Hood has changed a lot I am sure. You should love their traditions if you haven't done a spur run before etc. My experience in The Division was I deployed for a year got injured in a diffrent unit and MEB'd.
