My husband is trying to go 153a. Boards next wk. My question is the civilian recruiters told us that army soldier applying will get picked before airforce. Also is there anything out there can explain what a good candidate is? Does anyone actually know a board member that knows whats more important?
I can't answer your question about what a good candidate is, but as long as he is fully qualified, good letters of recommendation, and a strong resume he's is just as competitive as any active duty army guy. (college and things like that can't hurt either)
Just so you know I personally know a guy that was picked up out of the Air Force to be and Army Pilot on his first look. I wouldn't sweat what the recruiter says.
