Hey guys and gals,

Got a quick few questions. Does anyone out there know if paternity leave is offered during army AIT? And if so, is it the 10 days as usual or will it be alot less, like 2-3?

Hubby and I just found out we're having #2, and unfortunately he'll be in 68W tech school around the due date. Don't know if it helps any, but I'll be having a scheduled c-section so we'll have an exact date of delivery way beforehand.

Thanks everyone!

I looked up paternity leave a few months ago so it's not fresh in my mind. I believe it is not available at training commands, but I could be wrong. The big thing that I remember is that it is a privilege and not a right. The CO grants paternity leave at his/her discretion and subject to the needs of the military.

no Regular leave is authorized while in a training status. so unless you deliver during the last 2 weeks of December when all schools shut down, he will NOT be permitted to take any time off.
