Hey, just wondering I just joined the navy to go in as a corpsman and they gave me fmf corpsman in my contract because I was in good shape and did well under pressure in the field. I know there aren't many females that make it through fmf and actually get assigned to a unit or platoon. Just wondering if you knew any females in this position and what they get to do on a daily basis as far as duties. I would hate to be one of those girls who has to sit behind a desk all day! Thanks again for all your help. Can't wait to join you girls in the field. Way to make us look stong!

Exactly what does this mean? You have gone to boot camp and corps school already? You are in meps?

Most males or females who go to FMSS will make it thru. Its not at all that hard. Good just not all that hard.

You will not be assigned to what the Corps would consider a Combat Arms position. No infantry, no Recon etc.

You could certinly be assigned to a medical surgical type of unit. Where you will be expected to help save lives or tend to the sick and wounded in one way or another.

And then it could be something else.

I am not sure what Corpsman duties would have someone sitting behind a desk all day as you seem to think.

You will be treated how? Well, you will be treated like how you have earned the right to be treated.

Good docs are treated well.

If you have more questions the Navy Medical or Recruiting Forums have lots of knowledgable folks posting there.

First, change your profile because YOU ARE NOT "Navy, Reservist (drilling) E-3, Seaman". Second...

FOR SAILORS!

Far many then you'd think. Admin, reception, records to name a few.
