I am 90% of the way toward enlisting....and I was wondering if anyone could help me get some information. What do they do for people with glasses? What about retainers? What if you cannot use tampons? Do they sell pads or do you have to bring an entire boot-camp's worth of supplies? What about hair length? Showers(when, how long, what should you bring)? I don't wear makeup almost ever..so that's not an issue. Are there any other issues I'm forgetting?

Yeah... how about you take your questions to the Wannabe Forum.

I can understand not wanting to take your questions about tampons to the wannabe forum, but most of your questions have already been asked and answered by others in this forum. Period you will probably stop having one (99% of us did while in boot camp), but they will have pads for you.

Hair They will instruct you on how to pull it back.

Shower Ha, better get used to the idea of 10 second T.P.P. showers (t*ts, pits, and p--you get the rest)

Glasses If you wear glasses or contacts they will issue you birth control glasses otherwise known as BCG's.


BRING ONLY the clothes on your back, you will have everything else thrown away unless it's a necessity. They will have all of the basic needs.
