I'm wondering if anyone can give me some information in regards to being a nurse in the Marine Corps, and if this is a possibility. I'm currently just starting school, and have worked as a nursing assistant for nearly two years now. I would love to take my school through the Marines, and get the amazing experience of being taught my nursing through the military, and working at military hospitals.
I admit to having limited knowledge on how this works, and wondered if some of the ladies who are already Marines could give me some insight on this.

The Marines do not have their own in-house medical or dental docs/nurses. The Navy provides those services to the Marines so you may want to start there.
Thank you...thats saddening to me since the Marine Corps has been my dream since I was a child, however I'm already a nursing student so a bit stuck there. Thank you!

Don't give up. Check with the Navy and ask if you can be guaranteed a duty station where you will at least be with Marines. What is to stop you from getting your nursing degree, joining the Marine Corps and then go back to nursing after your contract with us.
You may have to take some recertification classes to resume your nursing career, but if it is truly a dream, then I say go for it. Imagine the Marine Corps experiences you will take back with you into your nursing career.
