Once you hit Cpl and, have finished your first tour at your duty station (unless you are at the second one already, I believe you can request the B-Billet for the Drill Field...it's always a good move in one's career to volunteer for either the drill field or recruiter before you are "volunteered" by the needs of the Corps.

Good luck and contact your Career Planner about it (errrrrr, are they still calling them that these days? Confused )

I went to DI School with SSgt Weeks. If you went to MRP in 2001, I was probably one of YOUR DI's. DI Sgt Hayes...that was my last name then.

HIS name? Since when is the WRTC/4thBn Sgt Major a man? Did I miss something? I thought all personnel at 4thBn were females?

We had this WM with salt/pepper hair cut like a football helmet as our Command SgtMaj. She was brutal until just before graduation. Everybody was afraid of her.

Males work in the chow halls, S-4, and S-1 at fourth battalion.

There have been many male SgtMaj's of fourth battalion, though I think the one GracieLou is talking about was the last one.
They have all been female since then.....and a few before then too.

We HAVE come a long way baby!! I used to work at the Engineer school at Courthouse Bay 86 to 90. Loved it. Wish I could have taken 1371, but not allowed at the time. Religated to only typing your manuals for your classes. Oh well...

Stay safe over there young Lady Leatherneck. Keep in touch with us and let us know how you are doing.
