Hey Laura....Guess What?? Bambi-Lynn Finney was my bunk mate... and a "blue tagger." Never thought of Bambi as a bunny... Say that 10 times fast.

Just a heads up Marines,

As I have been doing on the male Marine side of the fence with boot camp information, I have taken the liberty in creating boot camp platoon section on Yellow Footprints from this thread.
So far I've finished page one and will be working this thread as you Marines add information about your boot camp.

In the interest in keeping our historical database as accurate as possible please include in your post year, month, and platoon number.

I should have this thread entered into the database within the next week. If you find your platoon listed and you want to add information as in pictures or a simple write-up please forward your information to; gmiller@yellowfootprints.com

Please keep in mind that this IS your history we're storing for future generation to view on line, so include as much information as you wish.
There is no other place on the net where your history can/is stored for viewing by your children and grandchildren, so take advantage of this database....and to think it's FREE to all. ha

Semper Fi

OK Marines, I’ve completed the task of creating platoon sections for everyone up to this point in this thread.

Couple of notes;
1. For those Marines that did not include their month of graduation I’ve put your platoon section in the year of graduation and in the section called UNKNOWN MONTH. If you can email me the correct month of graduation I’ll move your platoon section to the correct month.
2. I have cut and pasted what ever D.I. information you provided in your post into your platoon section.
3. For those that posted that you where a Drill Instructor I’d like to create a D.I. section listing your name and those platoons you trained if you can remember that information.
4. Personal sections: When platoon pictures are sent in and you can point out your location within the picture we like to cut and paste your picture into your own personal section that lists UNDER your platoon section. Your personal section would contain a copy of your picture and WITH your permission your email address. This personal section can also contain pictures taken of you during graduation day or training pictures. ANYTHING that has to do with you during boot camp should be added to this section. If you don’t have pictures to add to your personal section but you want your email listed there we would be more than happy to comply by adding it.
5. You can also email your scanned copies of your year book that we can then enter into your platoon section. If you don’t have a scanner and wish to send in your graduation book for scanning (as many do), please snail your book to;
Yellow Foot Prints
9580 Oak Ave. Parkway #7170
Folsom, CA 95630
When graduation books are sent in for scanning please include return postage so we can send your book back to you as soon as we have it scanned and entered into the database.
To find your platoon section in the database you can go directly to the year, month, and platoon number. OR you can type in your platoon number in the search box; this will pull up ALL platoon numbers from the one you typed in for a search. You can find the boot camp platoon database link on the main web site home page on the left of your screen marked as Boot Camp Database.

Other than what’s mentioned above if there is anything I can do to help get your information into the database or you need help with the site please DO NOT hesitate to email me……We are here to help in any way we can.

I've taken the liberty in creating your platoon section in the Yellow Footprints historical database. I've added the DI information you posted above.

If you have your graduation book or picture you can forward them on to me(gmiller@yellowfootprints) for entry into your platoon section. Pictures from your grad book would need to be scanned of course.

My platoon was 2B...I graduated in Jan 85 and ditto on Danielle's DIs.

I was a DI in your sister plt. 4001 that graduated 7 Jan 2000.

Your DI's were (If I remember correctly):

Sgt Frederickson
Sgt Walker
SSgt Reid (later SSgt St.Cyr)

And I can't for the life of me remember your SDI's name but I can see her face as plain as day.

Just a heads up.

For you Drill Instructors out there we do have a D.I. historical section as well on Yellow Footprints. If you have pictures of those platoons you trained we would be honored to add that information into our database.

Yes, I remember her. That was my first platoon. I came in on TD 15.
