To join the forums. I am in fact a poolie and am also wondering if the use of USMC in my screen name is offensive, if so, I will change it, I just ask that you take it a little easy on me, I mean no offense by it. Thanks Smile

I am just curious is this is offensive to Marines. I am not just another ignorant poolie and have read through 90% of the posts and comments on this forum, and understand that because I am not a female Marine (and do not claim to be) I have no right to post in here without permission. I have no problems in changing my screen name if anyone should take offense, and am very sorry if anyone does.

If you've read through "90% of the posts and comments on this forum" then why are you asking if it's offensive? You should know.

Change it......you don't rate it.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, National Guard or Reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand that - Author unknown.

To answer your question: You've offended me twice with one screen name.

Other names I hate:
USMCbaby
USMCsweetcheeks
IloveMARINES
Etc...

(How come we don't have a puking smiley?)

"I'm very sorry if it does"
If you had ANY question in your mind if it might offend the Marines of this forum then WHY did you pick it? I'm sure it wasn't the only one left.

*looks around for stress card*
