hey! i leave in july for Parris Island, what I've been told is to live from chow to chow and day to day, dont dwell on the beatings and you very possibly might hate your DI's, but remember they are doing their job to make you the best Marine you possibly can be. Smile

They check you out from head to toe and make sure you're physically fit to ship out. Just be ready to spend all day there and be patient!

Chow to chow, sunday to sunday. Enjoy it as much as you can. As weird as it sounds, I loved every minute I was at boot camp. Once you get to 2nd phase, Parris Island becomes your home, your platoon becomes your family. The squad bay won't be the squad bay anymore, you'll call it the house. I know that I didn't want to leave it. Yeah, it sucks and it's probably the hardest thing you'll ever do, but at the end of those 13 weeks you'll be a Marine and you'll realize all the stupid games you played, all the blood, sweat, and tears (and yes there will be lots of all three), was worth it.
