Does anyone know what metal material dog tags are made out of? I would love to hear some feedback...on this topic and if you have any stories from basic training or from the fleet. Smile -kelley

Here's my feedback... we DO NOT attend "basic training" and you are posting in the wrong forum!

I have never seen the question asked about what metal dog tags are. What does it matter? Are you allergic to something?

There are plenty of stories here if you would just take the time to read.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, National Guard or Reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand that - Author unknown.
