With the admin's permission I'd like to post new updates to the Yellow Footprints web site that should be of interest to your membership.

For those that haven't stopped in recently there have been some changes and updates you might be interested in reading about.

Series Commanders
Over the last couple of months we have received platoon information from series commanders. We have started a new section dedicated to these officer and have placed copies (pictures)of the platoons they were in charge of into the boot camp historical database.

Company Commanders
As with the series commanders, we've also receiving platoon information from this level of officer's. We have create a section just for company commander's as well.

KIA, WIA, MIA
These new additions to the boot camp database are important not only from a historical standpoint, but specific information about that platoon is added. Pictures are cut and pasted into these Marines personal section and any information about that Marine is then entered into that section. Information as in where, when, how that Marine was KIA, WIA, or MIA is added to his/her section.

Email addresses
For a number of months now we have created individual personal section. These sections within the boot camp database list each Marine by name that list UNDER their respective platoon numbers. In this section (personal) we list WITH that Marines permission his/her email address. This allows other members from their platoon ease of contact. This section can also be used to include non-graduation book pictures.

You'll have to stop in to see what this has to offer.

One last note, it is NOT important that you have pictures from your boot camp experience in the historical database. We are more than happy to create a platoon section for you. You can have a personal section created under your platoon number where you can place your email address so others can contact you.

I've said this many times before, and I'll say it again, YOU do NOT have to be a member or registered on this web site (www.yellowfootprints.com)to have your information added to our database. Just being a Marine gives you that right. This also applies to those families that want their son, dad, sister, or brother added to the database.
And we do all this for FREE I might add.
