Have any active duty people tried out the new Combat Fitness test yet? They aren't done with it yet but I know they've been doing trials in various units so I'm curious to see how any of you did on them...I'm a bit worried about the 30-pound over-the-head ammo can lift myself. :-)

Sorry, but the female Marines on active duty that we have in here post few and far between. Most of us are veterans.
I got out before it was implemented, but I hear it's great.
A veteran - whether active duty, retired, National Guard or Reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand that - Author unknown.

Well here I am one of the few and far between... I took a CFT about a month and a half ago. I didn't find the ammo can lift that hard. The rumor is that for women the minimum will be 20 in the two minutes. I did 47 that day and I'm no where near a stud. To give you an idea I usually get about 38-40 sec on the flex. The part that kicked my butt was the buddy drag and fireman's carry. So the guys and in my shop and I have been practicing at work when things are slow.
Looks like fun. I didn't think the ammo can lift would be very hard. I will have to try that one at home.
As I recall from many conversations on the MODF, one of the main reasons men don't believe women should be in battle/grunt units is because they didn't think women would be able to carry out the wounded due to lack of upper body strength.
