Hello Ladies

I Just graduated Friday. It was awesome. I was on the island for 8 months but it was all worth it when I received my Eagle, Globe and Anchor. I stayed motivated and dedicated and thats how I plan to stay for the rest of my career. I worked to hard in bootcamp to not stay motivated through it all. My drill instructors, man i love those women. I had alot of them cause they change but they are awesome women and i wanna be like them. I did pretty good in bootcamp. My first platoon i helped out alot and i though my platoon didnt really notice but when i got dropped i realized they did and so did the drill instructors. I was guide for FRP for 3 long months and its actually harder than in training cause you deal with so many different training days and even though i was a phase 2 recruit i was getting treated like a phase 3 recruit and was expected to act like one. Also you deal with alot of recruits who are motivated and demotivated and the drill instructors are usually busy with paperwork so i would try to take care of that for them in any way i could. When i got back to training i picked up Guide 2 weeks later and stayed guide throughout the whole thing. I was 5 points away from being honorgrad but they didnt count my points from my first platoon. I was still the guide though and Marine week it was all me in charge and i did pretty good getting everything done that needed to be done. I was series guidon holder for grad. I got promoted to PFC and I got a meritorious mast. I dont really no what that means. They just put it on my stuff and when i went to pick up my stuff it was there. Does anyone no what that is? Everyone keeps telling me its really good but im not sure. I have never heard of those.
All in all it was a good experience and it didnt matter how long it took me, I did it and it was all worth it!! I cant even explain the feeling I got when I got my Eagle, Globe and Anchor. It was kinda like I got my soul back haha. Well hear from you guys soon.

Welcome aboard and congratulations Marine! Applause

meritorious mast
It is a written recognition of work well done and is of greater value than a Letter of Appreciation or a Certificate of Commendation.

Great Job and I give you a lot of credit for not giving up being on the rock for so long. Satisfaction always comes from something you earn, but are not just given.

Congrats and welcome to the Lady Leathernecks!!
