Is it just me or does the new AFCYBER command look like the old AFCC as far as responsibilities go? Instead of creating a new command and wasting all of that money in new buildings and finding a home, why didn't they just move AFCA back to MAJCOM status with their original responsibilities?

AFCYBER Command is cooler? Even cooler would be AFCYBORG Command.

That would a a great Command. We already have a bunch of robots in the AF!

I think AFCA has withered to a policy/advisory based role. At the time AFCC went away, the offensive/defensive missions of AFCYBER simply didn't exist, and the vision wasn't there, so the cut made sense.

Cyborgs would be pretty cool. They'd probably belong to the Army, tho.

True the offensive/defensive missions didn't exist back then. I guess I am just being sentimental and maybe just being a little realistic too.

AFCA has the expertise and history to take over the missions going to AFCYBER. With all of the "heritage" stuff thrown at us over the years and units changing numbers for "heritage" why can't we bring back a MAJCOM that played a large roll in winning the Cold War?
