Hi,
what do you think about the use of a modernized Tankette in today's urban battlefield? The idea is to have something smaller which cannot as easily be stuck out in the street or limited in its travel paths. Speed is not a great requirements so the armor can be extremely and uniformly thick and sloped, making it better to take attacks from various angles. This could be used to cover advancing infantry and draw fire on the street, and of course to lay down its own suppressive fire. Even better, the Tankette could be equipped with a high powered flame thrower for cleaning out buildings from the street.

It's just a thought.....

Nice theory extremely bad idea the M1A1 is the baddest because its big and strong you cant put that power in a smaller package. And do a little research on your flamethrower idea theres a reason they dont give them to us any more even though we want them.

The flaw in the theory is that in a smaller vehicle you cannot arm it effectively or armor it effectively. To many anti tank weapons out there that would reduce it to costly, taxpayer wasted slag. Another flaw as previously mentioned is the flamethrower. No BBQ on the grill for us.
