the Frag Kit No. 6 is the new armor kit for the humv. its supposed to be able to protect soldiers from EFP IEDs which are the ones that form the little conical projectile that peirces the armor. my question is isnt that what the M11-14 was supposed to do. protect the soldiers inside from any small arms and the curent ieds in use. why do they keep uparmoring the M11-14. eventually its gonna cause problems because it wasnt designed for this extra thousand pounds of armor. why dont they just focus more on producing the M11-17. it was explisitly designed to protect against ieds while performing the same opperations as the M11-14
