We knew her as "Axis Sally" and believe it or not we really enjoyed some of her rantings.

During Operation Varsity (the jump across the Rhine into Wesel, Germany) she was on the radio talking about the American 17th AB Div. and the Brit 6th AB Div. and we were killing ourselves laughing. Those were the right units BUT the one truly important thing she DIDN'T know was the time we were coming and that we would be dropped BEHIND the Kraut lines. That they never expected - to be attacked from the rear as well as the front.

Toyko Rose was American also, she was in Japan visiting family and then they wouldnt let her leave the country. And she said she was forced to do it since she spoke english. Well thats what the history channel said...lol..
