Question for the veterans.

In films you see people rounding up enemy guns etc putting them in a pile and burning them.

I would have thought that any captured equipment like guns, grenades Ammo tanks if re-painted would have been some use to you at the time or sent elsewhere were supplies may have been short.

Like just before the fall off France the RAF bombed some of the French ships wouldn't it have been off some use to us as a gun battery in Gib or the channel or as an extra escort.

All that is dependent on time, situation, and who is calling the shots.
Plus a bunch of other stuff.

You have to remember that supplies kept coming whether you wanted them to or not. We blew up stuff just so the enemy didn't get it. We still have wwII stuff around today.

The RAF bombed the French fleet to deny their use by the Germans.

It depends on the situation- GF1 I had an ak47 and an SVD- used both from my vehicle, the previous owners no longer needed them. That was a special case- in most units the sound of an Ak firing would cause many problems!!
