My husband is activated National Guard in Kosovo. Our plan is to meet him somewhere in Europe during his leave (second half of Aug.). This includes our two sons. I can't find any info about places to stay in Europe (England is our first choice) that would take advantage of his Active Duty status. Does anyone know anything about this? Do you think there's much point in trying to get military flights? Any input would be welcomed. We live in Mass., our boys are 11 and 14. Thanks, Laurel
I don't believe you will be able to use Space A because he is on unaccompanied orders.
Because you are on the East Coast you can usually get pretty good deals on flights over for a reasonable amount and then you have a set schedule. If you were able to fly Space A then the schedule can vary from day to day so you might not be able to get there or get back.

Laurel, the above is correct. You could travel accompanied by your sponsor on leave but you are not authorized to travel unaccompanied in this situation.
There are two hotels in London for the military. They are the Union Jack Club and the Victory Services Club. They are both convieniantly located and by British standards, inexpensive
