Closest outbound locations are Norfolk, Dover, and McGuire. I'm looking to head to Hickam AFB in January to visit a brother in the Coast Guard with my wife. Are there routine flights of that nature, or would i have to piece it together by hopping base to base? Can my wife accompany me from CONUS to Hawaii and back?

Yes she can be with you as long as you are AD or Retiree. If you are National Guard she cannot I believe unless you are activated beyond a certain number of days.

If you are AD then you will be Cat 3 all the way you can't sign up until you are on leave. If you are Retiree then Cat 6 you can sign up 60 days in advance. Look into flights from Andrews or from Norfolk to the west coast and then try from there.

I am in fact retired navy. I'm going to start cold calling terminals and fish for some info. I was hoping for a response from someone who had recently made the trek and had some lessons learned to share.
