I want to join the airforce. But i am in the middle of filing bankruptcy i am afraid that will keep me from being able to join. Can it affect me joining and is there anything i can do

It will not affect you joining. They are going to ask questions about it of course. Just be honest and you won't have any problems. The thing that freaks most people out is getting security clearances and even then, their concerns are unjustified. Filing bankruptcy is not a bad thing in the grand sceme of things. Get a fresh start and have fun in the service.
