I was checking my Experian Credit Report on Free credit report.com and I have an inquiry from both Companies. I guess they are Mortgage reporters but I have never applied for a mortgage before!
Does anybody have any experieince with these companies any help or information would be useful. Thanks PS I hope this is the correct place to post this. Sorry to the mods in advance if it isn't. |

It could be from almost any type of lender that pulls a credit report for any type of mortgage or consumer credit account. These two companies are among a very long list of credit report companies. Look at the date of the credit pulls and think back to where you were that day and what you did. You can get more detailed info on who ran your credit by contacting those companies but it won't be an easy task.
Even though Experian, Equifax, and Trans Union offer tri-merge credit report serves to lenders, most go a cheaper route for the same reports. |

Thank you this has been helpful!
I didn't know there were more than those three CO. I thought they were the only credit reporting CO.s My husband also said that they could be companies that send you like pre apporval junk mail. Can companies that send those things check your credit with out your approval? It doesn't sound ethical! If so, does it affect your credit score to have inquries on there that you don't give your approval for? Thanks again! |
