Who gives a flying crap.

Imagine that, they are talking about the Red Sox and Yankees on a thread labeled Red Sox and Yankees. Who'd a thunk it?

If you really needed to say that to make yourself feel better that I guess it was worth it for you.

AtoA, nice ones!

arctic,
pretty easy to say that your mary rivera is the best closer of all time in the playoffs due to the fact he has more playoffs exp. than anyone in baseball. Lets remember that the "closer" is a fairly new position because of the fabulous pitch count. So "history" is a pretty strong term. Your mary is good but he knows who owns his butt and they live in Boston.
Sew up your pen and you might have a shot this year.
Go Sox!

First off there BUDDY BOY if you knew how to read you would know that I never said he was the best in the playoffs. I stated the best in general. The Yankees are known for having some of the best closer in baseball. Goose (who got jacked out of Hall Of Fame voting this time around) was one of the best. And my post about "History" and my post about "Mariano" were 2 totally seperate posts. So your little stab at me was with a dull knife. And Boston owns nothing about Mariano. Your still cheering for the first two games of last year when Mariano blew saves. Wake up and pull your Red Sux hat off your beady eyes and start watching baseball, because it seems you haven't watched a Yankee vs. Boston game since the start of the Season last year.

So sully22 before you speak on anything again get your history and your facts straight.

Another Boston fan talking from his A**. You should all have BMCOA talk for you. He is the only one that ever makes any sense.

I'm mildly offended by that. I think all my posts have made perfect sense. I guess I got that impression from a complete lack of viable counterpoints on your part. Razz

Sorry about that "wishIwasaYankeefan"(not really sorry at all). It's been awhile since your last worth reading post. This one I quoted was made weeks ago. Yeah you did make sense in posts after that, though all you did was quote the standings out of your local paper. 2 out 3, 1/2 a game up, 1.5 up, etc..etc..etc..

Notice the edge to the Yankee fan's post. Frown

While I admit Rivera was one of the best closers of all time, I also admit that Jim Thorpe was a heck of a running back. Roll Eyes

Ouch, man hit a nerve or what arctic? Take it easy big fella. I know how hard it must be to wake up everyday and know you have always loved a winner. Ahh the easy life. I will for ever wonder what it is like. I guess for now looking at the standings is enough for me. I know 26 championships, 26 CHAMPIONSHIPS. Tell me again all of you Yankee fans, how many championships do you have? Twenty something I think. You probably have nightmares of Dave Roberts getting under that tag eh? Everday is a new day my friend, you guys will shine once again, maybe.
Coming from a die hard Red Sox fan to I assume a die hard Yankee fan here is some advice. Stop living in the past, it does you no good and just makes loosing again this year that more difficult. Trust me.
Have a great Memorial Day Weekend and take a moment during the pounding of the Royals to remember those that gave all so we could still argue these meaningless points. Peace. You will be in first by the end of this week and if your not shame on you.

AtoA: Now it is time for you Red Sux fans to play the pesky little TB Devil Rays.

Not a bad series for us. 4-1. Me thinks that is pretty darn good.

I see you have been trying to keep the rowdy natives at bay for the weekend? Wow there is no mercy the way it sounds. I am glad I was away... haha

Wannabes or posers? Thats perfect coming from someone who wears an emblem of the most sold merchandise of any team in sports. That little NY on your hat sure is marketable. At least I know Ive earned my B.

I don't want to know what you did to "EARN" your B. You can keep that to yourself. And the whole marketable thing goes both ways there smarta**. Your beloved BoSux have been marketing that B as almost winners/second best/first losers for years now (86yrs.). So you can eat that little fact. I was born a Yankee fan there buddy. As a matter of fact I was born on the way home from a Yankee game. So its in my blood. I was born a "winner" you could say. I was raised a Yankee fan through their losing years. They haven't been winners my whole life. I wear that NY with pride. Not because it was the cool thing at the end of an 86 year non-championship streak.

Such hostility, man you need to lighten up just a touch. I guess when you are born on the way home from a Yankee game it really is in your blood so we can not hold that against you (I bet they lost that game by the way). As for your comments regarding the marketing of the B versus the NY I think you know the truth about that one. There are far more folks who are willing to jump on board with a bunch of celebrated winners rather than the merry band of idiots who wear the B proudly. So keep recruiting all of your fair weather fans, because the Red Sox nation will be waiting (another 86 years if neccessary) to celebrate sticking it to you, the worlds greatest choke artists. There now I am a smart@#$.
Go Sox!!!!
