What is wrong with Red Sox fans? There would be NO World Series ring without Damon. The guy got no respect from the Red Sox front office when they offered him what they did, and he got no respect from the fans he got a World Series win for (one they had been waiting 86 years for). Yankee fans didn't boo David Cone in his first appearance in a Red Sox uniform after he left the Yanks. They gave Tino a standing ovation when he came back to the stadium as a visiting player. Some "Nation"!!!

They offered him 40 million dollars over four years. That is pretty much the same contract that their team captain and MVP Jason Varitek is on. It is more than anyone else is making except Manny and Schilling. $40 mil is not a disrespectful offer he just isn't worth any more than that(there is NO WAY he is worth more than David Ortiz). The Yankees were willing to overpay and he took the cash. He knew the boos would be there and he preferred the extra 12 mil. I would have been booing too.

I guess after not having a World Series ring for 86 years causes you to not know how to respect one of the players responsible for getting that ring and trophy to Boston, after he leaves and goes to the so called "DARK SIDE" At least some, and I mean a few of the fans cheered him on. You know damn well he deserved it.

How did you like his Grand Slam last night, even though it was in a Yankke uniform. I loved it.

Benedict Arnold was a great patriot and war hero for our side in the Revolutionary War. Should he have then gotten cheers as he fled down the Hudson River on a British ship after conspiring to turn over his fort?

Well, Kevin Millar got a standing "O" at Fenway tonight. That's the difference. He didn't leave a fiercely loyal fanbase for more money from their biggest rivals like Damon.

Johnny deserved those boos and he knew it.

And I'm pretty sure if DLowe and Billy Mueller returned to Fenway, they'd get standing O's.

Did you see that Ortiz went and picked up Millar at the airport?

The biggest reason that Damon gets the boo's is he said he would never leave and put on pinstripes.

The 14-3 loss kept me quiet yesterday. I'll admit it was embarrassing. But what happened to Curty Boy, (throwing crap)I guess he should have dyed that sock with Kool-Aid again and pulled the bloody sock routine.

Yeah he had a very rough outting. That will happen. The way I look at it is there are a lot more games left until the end of the season.

They play each other 19 times a season. Looking forward to the back and forth stabbing. Just having fun! Keep the rivalry alive!
