Well, Specter just can’t keep his wrinkled obnoxious face out of the camera! I just heard that the ‘fine’ senator from PA is putting an NFL rule in a place of more importance than national security, the economy, the housing crisis, terrorism, the war in Iraq, education and health care just to name a few. Yep, the fool is going to waste more MILLIONS of the taxpayer’s hard earned money because he either had a bet on the Giants in the Super Bowl or because the Patriots beat his frigging Eagles! He wants to continue investigating Spygate Roll Eyes ONE NFL rule... not a law... a rule! Roll EyesWay to go senator. Screw American kids going to bed hungry. That ain’t important in your foolish brain! Well, maybe it is slightly important but it is not as an NFL rule being violated.

I would like to thank the voters of PA for voting this fool into office (I have Teddy, you have Anus Specter). Next time there is a crisis in America, remember, Specter will be busy tracking down Spygate tapes because he didn’t ‘like’ the commissioner’s reasoning. When you lose your house because you can’t pay your mortgage, remember that Specter cared more about NFL rules than you. Mad When your son or daughter is serving in Iraq, remember that Specter cared more about NFL rules than your service member. Mad When you are knee deep in a recession, remember that Specter cared more about NFL rules than the nation. Mad When you can’t get health care because illegal aliens are over-running the emergency ward, remember that Specter cared more about NFL rules than your health. Mad And when the terrorists are ramping up for yet another attack against the United States, remember that Specter cared more about a stupid NFL rule than national security. Mad And when you next go to the voting booth, I bet you will vote this fool into power again. And if you do, you are authorizing his wasteful habits! He is wasting time and money that can be better spent elsewhere. Think before you vote, PLEASE!

What a frigging fool (gee, I wish I could write the words that I am writing in my head!). Why does this man believe that he is empowered to enforce NFL rules now? Let’s see, we have congress examining the chemical MLB players shoot into their butts (maybe the congressmen feel at home in this region of the body) and we have Specter’s ugly frigging mug on Sports Center every day, day in and day out. Why can’t we keep congress and their stupid, wasteful habits out of sports? Look at how intelligent their Clemens inquiry looked! They looked like utter fools and wasted OVER $1,000,000 in this effort. They either believed Roger or an admitted liar, drug pusher! And many decided to believe the lying drug dealer (they are used to dealing with liars). Now Specter wants to waste more time and money. And many here will fall for it!

Hey Specter is an idiot, pass it down... Whisper

Here's another dip5hit

What's funny is that this f@#king idiot is suing the PATS for millions because he sucked and couldn't make it in the NFL. On top of that, he was listed on Jan 23, 2002 as having an ankle injury so he wouldn't have even played. Roll Eyes

Kind of funny how only NE fans are defending this. I should put some money down for the fact there is going to be more to come. Now we now why Belichick is so quite. I know, just another NE hatter, but why are we not hearing this about more teams? Just a thought.

Confused

Is Specter the President or just one Senator? How is he responsible for my brother and uncle being in Iraq?

Are you serious? Tell me what law was broken by taping the games? Steroids are against the law, taping a game is not. What justification does Congress have to do this.

Why are we not hearing this about more teams? Do you think other teams are that stupid? If I was a coach of another team, I wouldn't come forward with anything I do. I would let the PATS be the scapegoats. That is why we don't hear things from other teams.

Salty, I am standing against Congress wasting more tax dollars and time on unimportant issues during a time when the nation needs these officials focused on national interests.

Bill admitted that he taped games and also stated that he believed that his actions were legal (no one prints that part as they would have to spin that fact to meet their agenda). He misinterpreted the rule which is easy if you ever read the darn thing. Also, the Jets were caught taping illegally and nothing was done to them and congress is ignoring that fact. I guess that the Jets lost to the Eagles, eh.

If you want congress to continue to waste money on sports, keep voting for the a$$clowns. It appears you endorse this waste of time and millions of taxpayer’s dollars. And remember, the money going into this kangaroo court could feed thousands of hungry children or get them the medical care they desperately need. So enjoy the idiocy of this investigation! I will make a donation to support the kids that need help since congress is refusing to help them!

Jyarger, first off, by the way, thank them for their service and sacrifice. I truly appreciate their commitment.

So, what is Specter doing to help get your brother and uncle home? Instead of focusing on them, he is focused on a frigging rule in the NFL. (BTW, did you catch that it is a RULE…; not a LAW… a RULE? Which topic would you rather have his attention focused upon? Some NFL rule or the safety of your brother and uncle? Well, to Specter, the NFL rule is much more important than your family!

Listen, Bill taped the sidelines and that was wrong. Period. He and the Patriots were harshly punished. They took their medicine and moved on. I do not condone violating the rules. I even hate it more when it is the team I like that did it! But they admitted their error, accepted their punishment and moved on. And some fool who is abusing his power wants to waste time and tax dollars to investigate it and other fools endorse it. I find it amazing that people care more about sports and its rules than men and women serving in a combat zone.

I am totally lost trying to understand such misaligned priorities of our elected officials and our citizens! But hey, whatever floats your boat. Enjoy the investigation and the corresponding waste of time and money. And while y’all do that, I’ll pray for the safety of our fighting force. I feel that that is all I can do as congress and many here seem incapable of separating important issues from background noise! Roll Eyes

Spygate....Clemens.....I guess Congress has all those other issues taken care of.

1. Illegal Aliens/Immigration
2. Economy
3. those pesky little wars that they sent our families off to.
4. China
5. Iran
6. Venezuala
etc, etc, etc.

What's next on Specter's agenda? Taking a deeper look into MLB players who have used corked bats or too much pine tar?

Maybe Specter should look into cleaning house in the various Hall of Fames. He could throw OJ out for murder. He could throw out every player that ever threw a spitball or scuff up a ball with a file or their nails. Ever used cleats that were a hair too long? Out of the record books for you! What about those that use a hockey stick with too much curve on it?

Also, I heard today that the tapes were burned because Bill was smart enough to have proof that other teams cheated and he had it on those tapes that were destroyed. I can’t tell you how much I hope that is true! If it is, all you Patriots haters are going to either do the moonwalk or I am going to tuck the cheating BS right where it belongs.

Why can’t congress focus on their job?

A noble agenda you mention Don. Pitty that there's no money in the U.S. Treasury to address these issues.

Instead, our government attempts to divert our attention away from the nation's genuine problems with bread and circuses: bread being the dole by way of the rebate checks (for which there is no money in the Treasury to back up) and circuses, being government subsidised "professional" sports.

Perhaps in a thousand years from now, tourists will fly across the atlantic just to see the ruins of a once great nation the same as we do just to see what used to be the glory that was Rome.

I'm wondering if Sen. Specter is going to question John Madden and others about their game time breakdowns of plays on the teleprompters? We all know it's part of the Patriots conspiracy.

Of course you are proud! Are you proud that he is wasting taxpayer’s time, resources and money? Roll Eyes

Since none of teams can beat the Patriots on the field Angel/Devil Big Grin, maybe you can get them in court! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin I did so love to hear McWhiner sniveling about losing to the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Funny, the Pats don’t whine when they lose. Why do the PA teams?

And please, take Teddy Kennedy from us. Please, please please please please!!
