Ok the NBA season starts in 2 days. My Knicks are projected to finish #6(according to SI). The Celtics will be fun to watch as well with the Triple Threat and I can see Rondo emerge from mediocre to pretty good this year from playing with three superstars. The Celtics will replace the Pistons as the team to beat in the east. Out west the usual suspects will dominate, and expect the Hornets to get in the playoffs and the Lakers to miss the playoffs.

Uh oh, look out, the Celtics join the Patriots and the Eagles as another undefeated Boston team. OK, so their only 1-0.
I watched the opening game off and on last night but will admit I am not huge into basketball. Before the game they honored the Red Sox with John Henry, Tim Wakefield, Jacoby Ellsbury, Clay Buckholz, etc. Also their were Bob Kraft owner of the Patriots and LB Junior Seau.
Celts won big and when they hit a three pointer very late and up by 20, I thought, "Oh crap, here we go!" figuring the Celts could join the Pats in the running up the score complaints against them.
Curious to see how they do with the other teams as I am not too sure how good the Wizards are suppose to be.
No the Celts won't run up the score as much as their football counterparts but they will go deep into the playoffs or possibly win the championship because Garnett is hungrier than ever this year. Garnett will also win the league MVP.

As cool as it would be for the Celts to win a Championship, I think the West is just too tough. I think the Dallas Mavericks are much hungrier than Garnett.
The Celtics blew the hell out of the Nuggets last night. The Mavs won't be able to beat the Celtics because of too many versatile weapons(reference Warriors), I'm projecting the Celts to make it to the Finals though Garnett is too good for Dirk "Noshowski".

I would just like to point out that I made that comment before last nights game.
Holy 5hit were the Celts impressive last night. If they play like that, I don't see any team that can beat them.
I just don't see any team in the east that will stop the Celtics from getting to the NBA Finals. Even if one their stars gets hurt and they have any combination of 2 out of their 3 stars they will still make it deep into the playoffs. Out west the Rockets look impressive so far I used to call Yao Ming Yao"Meek" but he is looking solid so far he can stand to build some upper body strength especially after watching Carlos Boozer annihilate him in the playoffs IMO.
More exciting than seeing The ticket, the truth, and Ray Ray play good was seeing Rondo, Perks and the rest of the team play well as well. Glad to see them be able to do that to a Western Conference team. Really excited to see how they fare against the Elite teams like Mavs, Spurs, and Pistons.
I get to see them play the warriors when I go home for Turkey day stoked!!! Pain in the ARSE to get ticks though.

Lol Basketball is* one of the* the biggest sport in the country and the second biggest in the world next to football(of the soccer variety). And I take back my comments earlier about the Celtics not blowing every team out they average an 18 point margin of victory(WOW!). *I edited my post typo now I have to get back to work!!!!

Do you have anything to back up that basketball is the biggest sport in the country? I hardly think so.

This is your brain...

OOps pardon me I meant to say one of the bigest sports in the world and second only to "soccer".
This is your brain on drugs.
C'mon, you seriously think that basketball is bigger than baseball in the world? You seem to think that it is bigger than the NFL here in the US. Dude, bring proof. Maybe in your mind it is bigger, but I think the rest of the country would disagree with you.
I don't think Basketball is bigger than Baseball worldwide I know it's bigger, the matchup between Yao and Yi generated 200 million viewers in China alone, every country has a large basketball audience, and in Europe and Africa they don't watch baseball because they think it's a cricket knockoff, and they don't really watch american football because they think it's a Rugby knockoff, in the U.S. I think Football is #1 though(U.S.). Soccer is #1 worldwide . I will give you a link to the statistics with an edit to this post. I'm not disagreeing football is #1 here no doubt and I don't think basketball is bigger here I know it's not so get off my back go hound somebody else I already said it's not so what your asking me is now MOOT. Everything I say is based on research and facts.
*Edit- As promised here is the inscription and the link:
Basketball, the world's second most popular team sport after football(soccer), is booming, and an estimated 300 million Chinese play it. While India hopes for a footballer to make his name in Europe, China already has a global hero in basketball, the 7ft 6in Yao Ming, who plays for the Houston Rockets. Yao Ming is the iconic figure in the NBA's push to promote the American game in China.

Soccer....here we have the New England Revolution heading for the championship game. Think anyone here in NE knows or cares with the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins?
Lol I wish soccer was a huge hit here in general I don't know why it never was o well I just hope that it gets much needed exposure by signing more international stars.
