Just thought all my fellow Yankee haters would get a kick out of knowing Jonny Gomes ran in from right field and smashed the stupid out of Shelley Duncan, after he slid into Aki on second spikes up. Both benches then cleared. Oh glorious Day!!!! Go Rays!!!!

I find it really funny how the whole thing happened. The Rays bowled over the b*&ch catcher for the skanks and broke his wrist. So Shelly Duncan decides to slide in cleat high, so high it hit a guy in the crotch. C'mon, he deserved to have the stupid slapped out of him.

This says it all

Yea, I saw that during the sports section of the local newscast. Looked pretty blatant. Didn't know there was a "beaning" before that that probably set it off.

And a guy named Shelley? He's probably got issues to begin with. Smile

On the play at the plate, the catcher was totally blocking the plate as he was taught since he was a kid. And just as the runner was taught all of his life, the runner bowled over the catcher that was blocking the plate. Why was the catcher blocking the plate in a pre-season game? Did he expect the runner to go around him? If a catcher blocks the plate he knows he is going to get hit. It was a stupid play by both players. The catcher did not need to block the plate and the runner didn’t need to lower his shoulder into the catcher. But each ‘played hard’ during a meaningless game and one guy was hurt.

On the play at second, the guy sliding into second intentionally took a cheap shot trying to injure the other player. His only goal was to harm the opposing player. It was a cheap shot. There was absolutely no need for the runner to hit the second baseman with his spikes. Trying to cut another player with your cleat is bush league BS. Hopefully the Yankees will sit the young player down and tell him that more is expected of Yankee players from the Yankee franchise.

Honestly though, with the first pitch hitting Evan Longoria and Shelley Duncan spiking Akinori Iwamura on second it seems to me like the Skanks players may have been told "if you have a shot take it". I know these men are professionals but even the umps had a meeting with both teams managers and were told that no B.S. would be tolerated (hence all the ejections). On top of that this is the Yankees we're talking about. On a positive note I went by Progress energy before the game yesterday and there were more Rays fans than Yankees fans. This is our year .500 boys!!!

I hope not, I don't want to get difficult or expensive to get Sox-Rays tickets hahaha J/K......But on the other hand i'm hoping you guy's come in second in the East and Yankee's drop down and take that last spot.

Watching these two teams play is always fun. Ive been to a couple games at Tropicana Field to watch em play. What makes it fun is the history between the two. They seem to get into bench clearing incidents all the time.

With Girardi and Hankenstein running the Yankees it should be another bad year for them.

Big George will be saying "WTF"!

I hope so, I'd like to see how many Yankee hats magically vanish from the heads of all these "fans" all over the country. If that happens I wonder how many of the become new members of the RedSox nation.

I think a lot of Yankee "fans" are fair-weather fans. It will be fun to watch.

Hank is a lot like his father with his shoot-from-the-hip attitude.

This is not enough punishment for these infractions! The Yankees manager should be suspended.

Where’s Congress? We need an investigation! Eek

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!! Big Grin
