The Habs were the better team. The Bruins gave all they had and have nothing to be ashamed of. It was a great series!

Nope...4-1 Cool

I hope the Pens end it tomorrow night in Philly. It's sad that the Flyers are so beaten up at this point of the season. They've had a great turn around year and nothing to hang their heads about. Barring a major melt down by the Penguins (circa 1975) it looks like it's on to Detroit.

11-1 in the playoffs! The look of total dejection on the faces of those Philly fans in the final minute was absolutely priceless. That one girl was even crying! Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of A-holes up there in Philly.

Maybe they should go find Ron Hextal, and put him back behind the net. It sucks being up here in Alaska, I have only been able to see the weeekend games. Think I should go double or nothing against the Wings?

How about those Pens!!! Question now is what team do you want to see; Detroit or Dallas? Personally I would like to see Detroit with a chance to move "Hockey Town" back to Pittsburgh. I still love Scotty Bowmen!

Don't you think that Detroit is a little too physical for the finesse play of the Pens? The Pens are a very talented team, but I question their durability if they have to face Detroit.

We'll have to see. The Flyers were pretty physical and the Pens handled them okay. But then again, the Flyers aren't the Red Wings. It should be a great series.

I'd go so far as to say the Pens out-muscled Philly for at least 3 of the 5 games in that series. Make no mistake, the Pens can lay the hits on people. Brooks Orpik is one of the heaviest hitters in the league.

I was watching Detroit-Dallas the other day and i was struck at how slow the pace of the game was. The Pens operate a much faster pace of game, and i think the aging Detroit team will have to struggle to match it. I'm hoping Dallas can pull off the upset because i'd rather face them, but after going 12-2 in the Eastern Conference playoffs......I like our chances against either of those two teams......especially after that 6-0 whooping the Pens just layed on Philly yesterday. Barry Melrose sums it up nicely right here about the Penguins and how good they are defensively:

http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?vid...5&categoryId=2459791

Check out the defensive playoff stats and you'll see the Pens at the top of several very important categories. The Pens are the total package on offense, defense, in goal, on the power play, and on the penalty kill.

Detroit's 1st and 2nd forward lines need to quit showboating and freaking shoot the puck.

LOL, the Pens have that same problem too sometimes. Certain guys will dipsy-doodle around with the puck too much in the slot instead of just getting it on net to create a rebound.

C'mon now Metal, anyone can use photoshop to make the Pens look tough. WinkI'm just kidding with you.

I didn't mean to imply that the Pens weren't a tough team, I was just saying that toughness isn't a primary part of their game. They most definitely can step up, but can they keep it up if they don't sweep?

It's the Penguins in six or the Red Wings in seven. I think my boys are a bit young to overcome a veteran Detroit team playing a seventh game at home. Go Pens!!!

I'm the opposite, I think a longer series would benefit the Pens. They're much younger and they're rested. There are some old farts on the Wings that'll run out of gas quicker. Not to mention that Osgood is not a great pressure goaltender. He's considered by many to be one of the worst goalies ever to win a Cup, much less two of them.

Go Pens!

Id rather be the worste goalie to ever win a cup than the best to not ever won one.

Mettalic,

Where do you get your information from?

What information do you speak of?

If you've been paying attention over the years then you know what i'm talking about as far as Osgood.

And the Wings is simply the older team, so I feel i longer series benefits the younger guys with more gas in the tank. Chris Chelios is pushing 50 for God's sake.

I'm NOT predicting a Pens win or anything. This team reminds of the young 1983 Edmonton Oilers team with all those young players who made it to the Finals and lost to the Islanders and then came back the next year to win it and move on to establish a dynsaty in Edmonton.

The Wings represent the past, teams like the Pens represent the future......even if it's not this year.

Mettalic,

I grew up in the Detroit area. Lived and died with Detroit's goalies... Chevelde, Vernon, Hasek, Osgood, Legace to name a few. Welcome to the Finals, Pittsburgh.
