Well sports fans its the dean of football. like i said bye bye Patsss. Now they are breaking up the team. Free agency. Well we have a truely interesting year. Next month the draft. I dont See the Giants repeating at all. Greenbay is done. Pats are done. Redskins hopes are done. Could it be that this is the year of the Jags? Looking at what they done friday i think not. The Cowboys will regress even more. This will be the year in football that anyone can snatch it. I wouldnt be surprized to see Browns in the hunt. I'll even go on a line how about those lions? i said last season they have a strong year they did at the start but fell short at the end. they only needed 2 more wins they been in the playoffs. Oh the Chargers are done also. its going to be truely interesting.

Why do call your self the dean of football? Please tell me how the Packers are done? The north is horrible every year so they could win that division again. Giants have as good of a shot to repeat as any othe Super Bowl winner. There front four is still nasty. Cowboys might regress to a 12-4 team but nothing further than that. Also you said continue to regress they have improves every year the last four seasons. I agree the brows will be good, but the lions will suck again. They still dont have a running game.s

The dean totally forgot to mention the status of the Colts. And what a surprise, the dean – a Steelers fan – is praying the Patriots are dead. The Pats will probably finish in the cellar of their division. If Green Bay is done, the rest of that division is over done! And the dean is backing the Lions? The Lions are like March… they come in like Lions and go out like a Lambs! The Chargers still find a way to lose.

I will agree with the dean on one thing, it’ll be a truly interesting season.

I see i have awaken the naysayers. First and formost i didnt mention the colts on purpose. second Greenbay will part with Farve. Then who will be there quarter back?? You guys blasted me when i told you how the superbowl was going to go. No im not praying for the Pats to be done they are done. Cheaters never win for long. Free agency has already began on that team. Lets See the Cowboys the quarter back is too busy trying to flow in bradys shoes. Be a movie star/ rock star. Not a great running back in the back field. TO can only do so much. How long will his mouth stay shut?. Some of what you write makes sense but being a self-professed ‘dean’ is where you fell short. You assume you know better than others and I have yet to see that proven. You brag about your football knowledge. That self-professed great is what offended other, not your crystal ball predictions. No one is trying to offend you but we are not going to bow in your presence, either. What music automatically plays when you enter a room?

I am a football FANATIC. I love the game, I love everything about the game... and I love my RAMS. I know alot about the game and every team, but there is a reason why they play the game. Most predictions fall short of reality. Can you honestly tell me that you thought the Giants were going to beat the Patriots in the Superbowl? 90% (or more) thought otherwise. I am looking forward to the draft this year. The Rams have the #2 pick and I am hoping that they pick up Chris Long. It looks as though Jake Long will be going to the Fins. I would like to see the Rams pick up an Offensive Lineman or a WR with the second round, and then some DB's in the third. I just wish that they Rams would have been a little more active in free agency. Oh well, GO RAMS!!!!

I have a feeling the Patriots will still be in the playoffs, and the Steelers fans will still be complaining that they are sick of hearing about the Patriots and Belicheat.

I spent the last couple of weeks up in the New England area and tried the local "chowdah" a couple of times. It was good, but the best chowder I ever had was on the outer banks of North Carolina. Let the screaming begin!!!!
Everyone hates the Patriots because they are so good. I hate them because they beat my Rams in the Superbowl. All that aside, they are just a good team and they will always have a bulls eye on their backs as long as they remain good.

I hope you enjoyed your stay in this wonderful part of the country. As far as the chowdah goes, as long as you didn't say Manhattan chowdah was better, it is all good in my book.

I think their GM has put together a great team for years to come, he still needs to shore up that defense though. Like him or not, Coach Belichick had taken players who were thought of as problems and he turned them into team players and made them succeed.

i believe its going to be good year for the jags, i know i will be attending many 'a games this year.

as far as the packers go, yeah, it hurts to have no favre. but rodgers is a competent qb. he's not the greatest, but if you remember last season's game vs. the cowboys, he got them back into the game.

In my opnion I don't really hate the Patriots! They have some amazing players and a good system. What bothers me about the Patriots is that there was a time when no one in New England seemed to care much about them. Unlike the Red Sox the fan support has been relativly recent last 10 years or so. I was born in New Hampshire and the majority of my family lives in Mass and that is what I noticied. Perhaps I was not aware of the support back in the late 80's early 90's. I feel that there is a lot of Bandwagon fans. Just my humble opinion. I am not trying to bash Boston fans!

Boats, I liked the Patriots when their record was 2-12... yes, that was during the era of the 14 game season! But you are right. A lot of people did not like them when they sucked. As a matter of fact, a supermarket used to give tickets away and people would not claim them. Fair weather fans are not true fans. True fans like 'em when they suck and when they're good.
