Great game by Lee last night.

If Philly takes the next one...I think it will show just how good or bad the Yanks are.

Bad? How could any team who makes it to the World Series be considered "bad"?

They haven't won in the last 9 years and have had a huge payroll for all those years.

It isn't about the payroll, it is about the TEAM. If they don't gel as a team, then they will continue to lose. That being said, they seemed to have come together quite well this year. Aside from the whole Burnett/Posada thing, which will make for an interesting story tonight if NY loses game two.

Looks like Phillies in 4 was way off base. The yanks have a solid 3 in CC, A.J and Pettite and that will be the difference. Not to mention the best closer in the history of the game. All they really need is to be winning by the 8th and game over. Both teams have hot bats and can put up runs at any moment, but the yanks are least likely to allow the Phills to explode offensively. How's that guy Ryan Howard working out? 7 strikeouts in a row in the World Series? Now the Yanks start CC again tomorrow. I say Yanks in 6. The $ argument is so bogus. The Marlins won 2 W.S. (Including beating the yanks in 2003) when their payroll was the equivalent of my LES.

Yup...the Phillies in 4 wasn't even close after the 2nd game. It's sill possible they could pull it off as I believe NY has a off/on history of losing when it counts.

Guess now we get to see if the Phillies are overrated....
