Alright, so today I went to DRB for the first time. The reason why is because I went off on my Chief and said some pretty nasty things. I was told by my LPO that i'll be headed to another one next week. He said that today was my informal and next week will be my formal DRB. Whats the difference and what happens there.
Are you on a carrier? A small boy? Did they make you dress up? Was it just a departmental DRB? Have you considered asking someone in your Chain of Command?
My guess, is that this isn't the first time you've had problems, so to speak. To make teh jump to an DRB, for this, seems like there has been an ongoing problem. In the next one, the formal one, you will most likely be in dress whites, and finding out, what if any punishment/attitude adjustment they will pass down.
Ok, now I know I've been out too long. What is a DRB? The only definition that I could find was defense resource board which doesn't make any sense to me.
Based on the replies, it sounds like a cross between mast and having the COB take care of things.

Yeah, it is like a midway point between LPO/write up and Captains Mast. A few of us in my division had to appear at a DRB as witnesses to an incident. Not exactly fun, but survivable. Best of luck to you Mackin90.
