Since the Pats wern't playing today I watched the Miami/Jets game. There was some good football there. Now I'me watching Minnisota decimate Green Bay. Crabbys gonna be crabbier than usual if it keeps going the way its going now.
USS Liberty, Never Forget.
I believe in Murrays Law, he thought Murphy was an optimist.
After starting the season 5-0, the Giants are going down to their 3rd defeat in a row in Philly.
It doesn't get any easier next week either. They have to travel to San Diego. The pundits that were calling them the best team in the NFC are really starting to look bad now as the only team with a winning record they beat was the Cowboys which they just barely eeked out with a last second field goal.
And the Packers sure sucked too. But old Brent err Brett got his "I am going to stick it to the Packers" revenge. Too bad he is sticking it to his former fans too.

You know, up here there are just as many fans against Ted Thompson as against Favre. Thing is Favre has talent and is one of the best to ever play the game, but what people easily forget is that he is also one guy. Right now the Vikings do have a good team and a lot of talent, they have a good line giving Favre a lot of protection. Switch GB's line with MN and you may have some different outcomes.
Up here, it is amazing the comments people make for fans booing Favre. Personally I could care less if he played 16 years for GB, he is on the other side now so I'm behind my team. And it really isn't Favre who is winning the game, the catch against SF, more credit should be given to the receiver, the line should get a lot of credit. See not long ago I recall some dismal seasons with Favre as GB's QB, it takes a team to win games, not one person.
So on that note, the only way I would truly and utterly be disgusted with Favre is when he officially does actually retire for good, is if he does so with another team.

Yes, not a very impressive first half for GB. I personally wonder if all the hype made of Favre and how he will react isn't really having more of an impact on GB. However, the second half was looking better and at least GB made a game of it.
Let's face it , Farve looked better than Rodgers because he is surrounded by a better team than Rodgers. Don't get me wrong , I like the Packers too but the Vikings are better all around.

As much as that makes me want to puke, I have to agree.
Favre is a great QB, but it takes more than one guy to win games. Look at the talent surrounding him now as compared to even last year. Problem is that every media outlet makes this a one guy thing and gets old and sickening. And yes, I felt that way too when all the hubbub was on Favre as a Packer.
I just love it when folks get so wrapped up in their team that they forget that most if not all profesional atheletes are mercenaries . No one will send them money after their career's over , so they go where the money is . Excepting the Raiders there is no good guy , bad guy . Personaly I preferr to watch a good game that displays a lot of skills , and to ewin the bet with my son at end of game , don't care what the sport is . Super 14 rugby and Aussi football are more entertaining tho . As for Brett , someone was willing to pay him to live his passion a bit longer . maybe he felt safer there , bones do get brittle as you age ,but you all know that .
I was not real happy when Favre was signed - not because of who he is, but the way he was brought in towards the end of training camp. The team management seemed to make it look like it was OK to miss that evolution. However, he seems to be the player that is making their offense work.
There is still a long way to go in the season, and a lot of good teams out there looking for a spot in the playoffs.
