Has anybody heard anything new about the actual arrival of the NWU and SU uniforms since the announcement back in January about manufacturing problems? Also, does anybody know how the roll-out schedule will relate to reservists?

They are rolling them out by region. You will get them via your NOSC according to the regional schedule.

The NWU isn't for another year now. I'm predicting that it will get pushed back again later.

I agree, just wait it will get delayed far enough so that a new CNO and or MCPON can come in and cancel the entire thing. The whole everybody wearing "BDU's" idea never seemed to make a H377 of a lot of sense to me anyway.

USCG seems to be preyty happy with the working blues they have. Of course that would be all the reason that "they" would ever need to not go with a proven "good idea" IE it's not theirs.

I doubt the NWU will get cancelled simply because of the amount of time and money sunk into them to come up with essentially copying
someone else's good idea in a different color.

Even if it does, I think you will still see the woodland and desert digital patterns come to fruition, although with the same DLA driven delays. Notice how much we are starting to look like Marines between the E1-E6 service uniform, allowing tan boots and belts with cammies, and the SDKs looking like Khaki Alphas. I don't see any reason for the sister services to not continue to come together in appearance.
