We found this pin in my father's jewelry box.
He was an Army FAOB officer. His record of separation said 7th FAOB
but he fought in PO valley (Italy).

Got answer from another forum.

Here
is the Global Security page.
Seems my father was stuck stateside for 2 years in WWII. Thought this
might tell me where unless he remained at Ft. Sills as an instructor.

I couldn't find an example of the pin you showed, but I found some other info that may be just as good.

The 7th FAOB was part of XX Corps, 3rd Army under Patton. Yes, they did fight in the Po Valley. There are a couple of books on 7th and that area of battle available from amazon, etc. There is also a unit board here on Military for them. A contact point for 7th FAOB reunions was listed (in '03 VFW magazine) as Charles Wright (812)925-6207.

It's not exactly what you were looking for, but I think this might point you to people who do know.

Fortune in your journey.

My Brother was assigned to that unit at FT.sill in 1948. My son was in the unit in 2004 when he was at Ft.Sill. I have to agree with the other's. The crest is the artillery school at FT.Sill
