For the brigades now being resedignated as Brigade Combat Teams and assigned to a Division will the troops wear the brigade patch or the division patch? For example will the now 45th Infantry BCT (old 45th ID and Brigade -Thunderbird patch) be worn or the SSI of the 35th Infantry Division to which they are assigned?

If your in the 45th INF Bde or 45th FA Bde you should be wearing that patch unless a reg comes out stating otherwise.

Each national guard BCT is still a seperate brigade... therefore still assigned a distinctive unit shoulder sleve insignia... and according to the clarification of regulations that came out in February... it is to be the patch at the lowest level assigned in a combat theatre...

I, as a member of the 39 BCT was wearing a 1CAV since my bn was ASSIGNED to 3BCT/1CAV... and the rest of the BCT was wearing the 39BCT patch. We had a company of 1/9 IN 1CAV assigned to our bn and they wore our BCT patch...

That confuse you?
