Folks,

The Ukrainian BTR-4 is a development of the famous Russian BTR-60/80 8X8 armored vehicle series with its one great weakiness eliminated. The location of the two engines in the rear resulted in no rear ramp or doors forcing the infantry section to dismount either over the top through hatches or two small hatches located between the wheels. The Ukrainian copied the French concept with their VAB wheeled armored vehicles and located the engine between the forward drivers compartment and the troop section.

I actually prefer the BTR-4 to the BTR-90, it is quite a radical change from the old BTR designs and several weapon modules are offered for it.
