my husband who is currently deployed sent me his address... im just wondering its all numbers and letter... (the country where he is deployed is not in the address)....for example...
Capt. john doe mal 2334-569 fjuvl 2249 will they accept this address at the post office (like usps)? and how many days will it usually take for them to recieve my mail.. thank you n god bless everyone.. |

I use the flat rate boxes that you can get from the post office. The large box runs about $12 to send and can hold up to 70lbs of stuff. You also have to fill out a customs form to go with the package. I address his packages like this:
Rank/Name His company His camp (ex: COB blank) APO AE with the appropriate zip code you can check with your FRG leader or your Rear DET to confirm his address. |

dont even need the name of the fob
MSG john Doe HHC 1/111 FIB APO, AE 09xxx is good enough yes the post office i will take mail addressed that way ETA answer to the 2nd question-but my experience ( your mileage may vary) very remote fobs in afghanistan-12 days to two weeks-remote fobs in iraq-8 to 12 days Large camps in iraq 5 to 8 days-and in kuwait where they are near the JMTT-4 or 5 days.
