My husband has been to Korea and is now in Iraq. I have been sending cookies every month when he is gone, but I don't want him to get sick of them and want to send variety, especially in his Christmas box. What all have you sent that has made it there? What were some of the things your spouses enjoyed that maybe we haven't thought of? I want to send something else, but don't know if it will make the trip. It has been taking anywhere from 7-10 days to get him, which is great, but I don't know what will melt, what will stay fresh etc. If you could help me out on some of the things you have sent I would really appreciate it.
Brownies did okay. Do not send anything like blueberry muffins - the fruit tends to ferment. LOL
Once it is cooler candy will make it okay.
I'm sure there will be other good suggestions as well!

fudge goes well in colder weather-i have sent hello dolly squares, rice crispy treats-and concur with DM on rum cake-i have sent them whem the recieptient was where it took them like 12 days to get their mail and it got there in great shape. also my mom always sends my hubby home made peanut brittle for his birthday in november-it gets there in great shape and the guys love it.
Thank you! I am excited to make something other than cookies! He says he isn't sick of them yet, but it could be that he doesn't want to hurt my feelings, LOL. I am happy that other things make it there. I am looking forward to trying new things now! Thank you again!
