I cannot seem to find an answer to this anywhere. My husband is deployed and I am leaving for Basic Training. Does anyone know if they will know to conatct me in Basic Training if God forbid something were to happen to my husband. Obviously they have my home contact information if something were to happen to him I just didnt know about when I am gone. I really would like to know that I wont be the last to find out and no one really seems to know. If anyone has any information on this I would really appreciate it.

As soon as you enter have him update his page 2 to reflect your military status as both his dependent and his next of kin and make sure your SSN is in there. They'll find you.

reserve, I am actually going National Guard. We both are.

That's a bit easier in some ways. No worries about PCS transfers. Just make sure your National Guard info (Unit, state) is in there too.
