I think I know what gives.

The guy running the Forums has it set so that he previews the accounts before they are activated. He gets your IP address, when he clicks on it gives him additional info and he gets to review your acccount info. So he hasn't approved you yet. I believe he did that because they were having an issue with trolls and he wanted more control.

I am guessing he got distracted in some way or otherwise forgot the setup and was called away in some manner. And so....nobody new gets on.

If you have GKO access, I think the guy in charge over there is Major Richie (spelling might be bad) I think he is with the National Guard Bureau if I am not mistaken. So maybe you can do a GKO lookup and see if potentially he is deployed? Maybe Email him via GKO?

Anyhow, don't tell him you heard this on Military.com because we are not supposed to gathering intel from other websites when we are Mods. I'm no longer a Mod so confessions are in order now. Big Grin

To be fair, one or two of his Mods were over here posting and Mods from other websites post here as well. So shouldn't be a problem. Cool

Thats interesting, that tells me the Major might be using GKO lookups to screen new accounts.

If you have a NG Recruiter tell him and he can ping the Major whom can activate you early if you want. All he wants is contact info in case you misbehave over there probably.

Here is the correct spelling of his name for the GKO lookup:

MATTHEW A. RITCHIE
Major, Army National Guard
