I just talked to a National Guard recruiter about a waiver that I need to join, and he said to go to court and get it reduced to misdemeanor and I should be fine.
My question, is it true that it will help, cause I will be spending money to do so, and I just want to make sure it will make a diference, any info is appreciated!!

Could you be a even a little more obtuse ? You're missing some key fields of information if you're expecting an answer:

1. Which state
2. What charge
3. Umm like your entire background. Just because you clear one item off (or in this case get it reduced) doesnt mean you wont be held up by something else in your past.

Thank you for your response
I was convicted of a 2nd degrre auto burglary in California, that was in 2001, that has been the only time i've ever been in trouble.
I am now in college trying to go for a bachelors degree in computer science.
So my question is, if I get that case reduced to a misdemeanor and expunged will I be able to join?thank you in advanced!

No one here can give you a definite yes you'll get in. From what I have read and heard lately getting the case reduced and/or expunged will increase your chances. Last I heard the National Guard was overmanned in some areas so they are decreasing the amount of waivers they are granting and last I heard they weren't granting any felony waivers.
