I own a few Mosin Nagants. Some of us started a shooting club just for the folks that think the Mosin Nagant is a real good weapon.

I have found a few sites that show how to trick out your Mosin Nagant, ball trigger, Scope mounting without drilling, a lighter stock and change the site post.

I also found a site where they cut off the front site and put in an adjustable post. Most shoot 8 inches or so high at 50 yards. This you can change it in around ten seconds.

Many feel that the weapon should not be changed. I have one that I keep as it was in 1944 and the 1939 I have the bent handle and scope mount on it.

Anyone else have ideas on how to improve the Mosin Nagant?

I am now going to Float and Bed my rifle. I need someone to tell me more about the shims in the stock?
