Dear Readers,
I rec'd the following from a high school friend of mine (high school was QUITE a while ago, mind you!), and I'd like to help her and her mom, if I could. My husband retired over 2 years ago, after almost 30 years... none of his contacts come up with anything. Hoping that putting the word out here might find someone that knew this guy. "My Mom was wondering if you could help look up an old Marine buddy. The guy's name is Frederick Wood(s). His wife's name is Naomi (Don't know about spelling!) They would be about 80-90 years old. He was either a Lt. Col or Col. Was stationed in Bangkok in the 1960's. If you could help her find them, she would certainly appreciate it!" "Mom's name now is Terry Tonnesson, but they probably know her as Terry Dawes. My Dad was George M. Dawes. Thanks for the help! My mom will be so pleased! I think she is looking up all the old friends she can find since most of the local friends she had from college have croaked. I guess when you hit 88 years old that kind of stuff happens! Anne Lowatchie" thanks for any help or clues! Donella Spencer usmcspencers@usa.net |

It was my pleasure to serve with Col.Wood in Vietnam in 1966 he was a fine Marine and always put his Marines first. I last spoke to him in 1970 while he was stationed at HQMC in Washington D.C., he and his wife were looking forward to retirement. I have sent you the information you have requested, I'm just sorry it could not be under better circumstances.
