My son attended and graduated from a 2 year associate degree program in automotive technology having won a Ford scholarship. He is 21 and would like to return to school and join Afrotc, is this possible?

yes it is possible, but talk to a ROTC unit admissions officer for specifics about it.

Certainly.

He just needs to be accepted by a 4-year university/college that has an ROTC detachment and enroll in ROTC. He'll need to contract and finish his final two years of school.

I would still highly recommend contacting the UAO of the detachment first. Some detachments do not like attempting to get cadets into the two-year program.

Also, the two-year is far more selective than the four-year, and you have less time to build the commander's views of you. I'm not sure about the other fields, but for pilot school, the commander's rating is 50% of what determines weather or not your get a slot.
