I posted this in another thread... but no one answered. So now I'm crying for attention in a new thread. Wink j/k. lol.

Here is the original post:

If I were to prepare myself ahead of time at home, which brand/type should I buy? What would prepare my feet for this type of new abuse?

Gee, that's funny. You don't understand the post. I wasn't the one who asked about the custom made boots, nor did I ever EVER ask about bringing my own to boot.

Let me use my soft Soldier's Angel voice and explain nicely to you:

I simply want to run around a local track in boots. I would like to know if there is a specific brand that would be similar to what I would be issued in Basic Training.

Thank you SO MUCH. Because I know you're such a GOOD disciplined soldier with manners. Wink

Yep...I got that one wrong. Thought you were someone else.

My apologies.

However, I wouldn't recomend running in boots. Most running is done in running shoes. Less chance of injuries than in boots.

Different brands of boots are issued at CIIF. For example, my summers are Altama and my winters are Wellco.

It's the luck of the draw. Whatever brand fits you best is what you get.
