i am 20 years old i would like to join the navy i am a bit overweight but not too much is there a way that a recuiter can help me shed those couple pounds to enlist??

I don't know about the Navy, but I know you can get a book from a recruiter, that has the basics of what you'll do it Boot Camp. If you follow the book EXACTLY for about a month, and start with the run-to-walk category, but do all the other exercises, you should be in great shape in about a month. Follow the diet too, it's great!
