So I've been doin the pushups, situps, and running to get get for basic. When I do pushups I try to do like 4-5 sets of 40-50. Somedays I can do them just fine, no problems. Then other days I can only do like 20 total due to my right wrist. It has a really sharp pain in it. Somtime it last just for a day somtimes it last for 2 or 3. Has anybody else had any problems like this. If so, what did you do to fix it. If this keeps happening, basic could be quite a pain in the.... well, you get it.

Best suggestion: let your doctor know about it and check it out for you.
It could be any 1 of 100 different things. I could name off at least 10 (and I'm not even a medical professional) just from my experience with soldiers under me going to sick call for joint pain.
Not sure but your wrist may be at the wrong angle. There is a great Article on not improving your total number of push up, but how to correctly align your body, hopes this helps..good luck. (By, the way I am 36 years old and regularly score 90 or higher, simply by following this fitness regiment.
I had the EXACT same thing happen to me when I was getting ready for basic. I've been in a little over two years now and my wrist still acts up every once in a while during pt, and my doctors have always told me it was tendonitis. It flares up and goes away on its on and is difficult to treat because of that. My dr. said it's very common in people who exercise and put a lot of pressure on their wrists (pushups, tennis, etc.) If your wrist is bugging you, the best thing to do is pop some tylonol (or any anti-inflammitory medicine) and ice it. When I started my pushups (before I built up the strength in my chest/shoulders to do a lot of them) I bought those pushup bars that you can put on the ground and it raises your hands off, thus taking all the pressure off your wrist. I found them super helpful in building up the strength I needed to do my pushups and take the pressure of my wrist. Granted, you can't have these in basic, but if you build your strength now it won't be as bad in basic, hopefully. I remember a few times that my wrist hurt while I was there, but I was strong enough at that point to really put all the weight on my other wrist (which isn't great because you can develop tendonitis in that one, too) but it was good enough to get me through and graduated...sorry that was so long, but I know what you're feeling! Hope it helps
You need to see a doctor. I have the same problem and it hasn't went away since AIT. While I was there I also managed to tear my rotator cuff because I had to switch the pressure off of that hand. My shoulders where in very good shape but when you have to do it for a year you tend to hurt other parts of your body (not to mention that you will be doing the exercise incorrectly). Good luck with everything
