Do naval recruits have to qualify at least at the rifle marksman level to graduate, like I believe army and marine recruits do? Also, how does one qualify for the Navy Marksmanship Ribbon?
while in boot camp we don't even get to see a rifle. We do however get to shoot 48 rounds with the 9mm pistol and i believe 9 rounds with the 12 gauge shotgun. You do get a ribbon for the 9mm (if you score 180 or higher that is) but not with the shotgun, thats just fun to shoot. You do this week 4 of boot camp I believe. It's fun stuff.
