I have recently been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and going through the med board process. I understand that this is an automatic out but was wondering if there are anyone out there that has been through this or knows someone that has. I am just curious what kind of rating I should expect for the CG and the VA. I am not suffering from much physical disability, yet it is only a matter of time. If anyone has an idea I would be very grateful, thanks.

It is not an automatic out. It depends on the type of MS you have and if you are still able to do your job. the VA can be very good depending on where you are.

Dude, sorry to hear about that. Learn all you can about it, and take care of yourself. Stress is one of the big triggers of episodes and degradation ... so if you learn a good stress management strategy you will be better off in over the long haul.
I don't have time to look it up right now, but here is a link about VA disability I think you will find helpful. Poke around, I've read about it somewhere in here before. Title 38, Electronic Code of Federal Regulations --Jim Life is good |

I just got the results from my IPED and I am being put on TDRL with a 30% disability rating. I know a little about this but I have a few questions. Will I lose TRICARE? Will I get VA benefits? If someone can give me the scoop I would be very grateful. Thanks.
